1. General Conditions

By renting a vehicle from Akkel Sur Rent a Car, the customer accepts these terms and conditions in their entirety. The rental contract is established between Akkel Sur Rent a Car (hereinafter "the company") and the customer identified in the rental agreement.

2. Requirements to Rent

Be at least 21 years old
Have a valid driver's license with at least 2 years of experience
Present a valid identification document (ID or passport)
Have a valid credit card in the renter's name
Foreign tourists must present a valid international driver's license or license from their country of origin

3. Security Deposit

A security deposit is required at the time of vehicle pickup. This deposit will be returned upon vehicle return, provided it is in the same condition as delivered. The deposit amount varies according to the vehicle type and will be informed at the time of booking.

4. Vehicle Use

The rented vehicle may only be driven by:

The person designated as the main driver in the contract
Additional drivers previously registered and authorized

It is strictly prohibited:

Use the vehicle for racing, competitions, or driving tests
Transport passengers for payment
Transport flammable, toxic, or illegal substances
Tow other vehicles or trailers without authorization
Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Cross to Argentina without prior written authorization

5. Insurance and Coverage

All our vehicles include basic insurance that covers damages to third parties. Optional insurance may be contracted for additional coverage. The customer is responsible for the deductible in case of accident or damage.

6. Fuel

The vehicle is delivered with a full tank and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge plus a service fee will be applied.

7. Pickup and Return

The vehicle must be picked up and returned at the agreed date, time, and location
Delays in return will be charged at the daily rate plus a 20% surcharge
Airport pickup and return is available at no additional cost within business hours

8. Cancellations

Cancellations 48 hours or more in advance: full refund
Cancellations 24-48 hours in advance: 50% refund
Cancellations less than 24 hours: no refund

9. Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

Damages not covered by insurance
Traffic fines received during the rental period
Loss of keys or documents
Interior damages caused by negligence

10. Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Chile. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of the city of Punta Arenas.
